01

Agreement to terms

Welcome to The Aging Parent Project. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of theagingparent.co, our content, our assessment, and any current or future paid programs (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, completing our assessment, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

02

Who can use TAPP

The Services are intended for adults 18 and older. By using the Services, you confirm you meet that requirement.

03

What TAPP is — and isn't

TAPP provides educational content, guidance, and coaching to help adult children navigate a parent's aging and care. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other licensed professional advice, and using the Services doesn't create a professional or advisory relationship between you and TAPP.

Our assessment uses your answers, together with AI-assisted logic, to suggest which stage and resources may fit your situation. Its output is a starting point for your own judgment and research — not a clinical, legal, or financial evaluation. For decisions about your parent's medical care, legal affairs, finances, or placement, please consult a qualified professional (a physician, elder law attorney, or financial advisor, as appropriate).

04

Purchases & payment

Prices for guides and programs are shown at checkout and may change at any time; the price you're charged is the one displayed when you complete your purchase. Payments are processed securely by Stripe — TAPP never sees or stores your full card details.

05

Refunds

Because our guides and program materials are digital content delivered instantly upon purchase, all sales are final once delivered, except where required by law. If something went wrong with your order, contact us and we'll make it right.

06

Your license to our content

When you purchase a guide or program, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use it for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, publicly share, or use our content to build a competing product or service.

All guides, curriculum, assessment logic, branding, and site content are owned by TAPP (or licensed to us) and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

07

Account access

Some paid programs require an account to access gated content. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

08

Acceptable use

When using the Services, you agree not to:

  • Share or resell paid content or account access
  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with, hack, or disrupt the site or its underlying systems
  • Scrape, copy, or reproduce our content without permission
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services, including paid program access, for violations of these Terms.

09

Third-party services

Our site relies on third-party providers — including Stripe, Supabase, Kit (ConvertKit), Resend, Clerk, Vercel, and Anthropic — to operate. We're not responsible for outages, errors, or issues caused by these providers, though we'll do our best to keep things running smoothly.

10

Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular outcome will result from using our content, assessment, or coaching.

11

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TAPP and its founder are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, or for decisions made based on our content or assessment results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law doesn't permit it to be limited.

12

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TAPP harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

13

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where applicable consumer protection law where you live requires otherwise.

14

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the revised version here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
